Dogfish Stik Spinning Blue Water Series Rods
Dogfish Stik Spinning Blue Water Series Rods
At the end of the day there is only way to say this! These two Spinning rods could quite possibly be the most highly anticipated rods that have ever hit our shelves! We took some of our number one selling rods from other manufactures and simply put, we fixed the problems that we have seen over the years with them. Through countless hours of Research and Development we have built two insanely versatile rods.
DFSBWS721M Fishing will never be the same again once you have fished this rod! We built this rod with one thing in mind Versatility, which is the number one trend with our new rods. Inshore fisherman that just do not want an 8ft rod to target Tarpon because they own a bay boat and want to utilize this rod offshore bottom fishing is just one of the many things that we thought of when building this rod. If you want to have a rod that will allow you run offshore do a little bit of vertical jigging with Butterfly jigs or Bucktail jigs, knocking rigging through the water column for Snappers, flat line fishing while on the anchor, slow trolling live baits, pitch baiting to Dolphin while cruising up and down weed lines, and throwing plugs to Blackfin Tuna and Amberjack you should highly consider buying this rod! It's a toss-up, but one thing I can honestly say is that if I was stranded on an Island with one rod and reel this rod would be in my top 3 for sure! Thats saying a lot considering the endless amounts of rods at our fingertips just in our store alone. Versatility, Price, and Durability all go into making that decision and this rod has all three knocked out like Tyson in his prime. Some things that we noticed in other rods that are similar in action and price was that while the blanks these companies used were great, they were lacking certain features, like double or triple foot guides throughout the entire blank. Some companies were putting aluminum reel seats on spinning rods "yuck". Why add the weight and have a reel seat that is constantly loosening while fishing it unless you take a pair of channel locks to it. Most companies weren't even putting a gimble on the bottom of the rod. So, we saw a hole in the market, and we filled it with this rod. This rod comes with Alps SS316 marine grade stainless steel guides with zirconium ring, Fuji double locking reel seat, and rubber locking gimble. No more rods spinning all over the place while in the rod holders, no more sliding around on the floor with a plastic gimble, and most importantly no more chasing down guide repairs due lack of quality of the guide train! This rod can be paired with vast array of reels, but these are what we strongly suggest considering the Daiwa Saltist MQ 10000 or 14000, Shimano Saragosa 10000 or 140000, Daiwa Certate 10000 or 14000, Shimano Twin Power 10000 or 14000, Daiwa BG MQ 10000 or 14000, Shimano Spheros 10000 or 14000 Daiwa BG 5000
DFSBWS721MH If you're an avid offshore fisherman, listen up. The 72MH is a 3-point shot at the buzzer to win the game rod! If you're looking for and offshore spinning rod that will do everything from Grouper fishing, Amberjack, Tuna's, Sailfish, vertical jigging, flatline fishing off the transom, Cobia, throwing poppers, and so much more this is the rod you need. If you're wondering where this rod would fall in my "stranded on an island with one rod and reel Delima" it's definitely in the top 3 for sure! At Dogfish we are all super passionate about our jobs and the merchandise that we sell, one thing I can assure is that every one of our guys get all sorts of warm and fuzzy when they pick this rod up! If you're outfitting a boat or just plain and simple looking for a new rod this should definitely be in your line up. We don't want to come across as know it all's for sure because we are far from it, however I can personally tell you with my own insight because of all of the years that I have put in and money wasted trying to put together the most versatile rods and reels, that this rod is a straight up game winner! We used the same components on this rod as we did with the 72M, Alps SS316 marine grade stainless steel guides with zirconium ring, Fuji double locking reel seat, and rubber locking gimble. This is what we would recommend putting on this rod Daiwa Saltist MQ 10000 or 14000, Shimano Saragosa 10000 or 140000, Daiwa Certate 10000 or 14000, Shimano Twin Power 10000 or 14000, Daiwa BG MQ 10000 or 14000, Shimano Spheros 10000 or 14000 Daiwa BG 5000
