Description
The CHUBBY 4" is a versatile swimbait built for bigger, slower presentations across a wide range of inshore and nearshore conditions. Its taller profile and larger tail make it an ideal choice when predators are focused on thicker-profile baitfish such as pilchards, shad, menhaden (bunker), and croakers.
Designed for slow-rolling, the 4" CHUBBY can be reeled at much lower speeds than most baits without losing tail action, while still allowing faster retrieves on top without excessive roll.
Head Hooks: 2X BKK Black Nickel.
Head Weights: 1/2oz and 3/4oz.
- Tall Baitfish Profile - Designed to imitate thick-bodied forage like pilchards, shad, menhaden, and croakers that many predators naturally target.
- Oversized Paddle Tail Action - Large tail design creates strong vibration and water displacement that attracts attention from a distance.
- Slow-Roll Performance - Maintains consistent tail kick even at extremely slow retrieve speeds to keep the bait working in the strike zone.
- Stable High-Speed Retrieve - Tracks naturally when retrieved faster without excessive rolling or unnatural movement.
- Durable Soft Plastic Construction - Flexible yet resilient material provides lifelike swimming motion while holding up to repeated strikes.
- UV Enhanced Finishes - UV-reactive colors increase visibility and help fish locate the bait in deeper water or low-light conditions.
The 4" CHUBBY is the all-around size in the lineup, ideal for predators feeding on medium-to-larger baitfish where profile and slower speed matter. It performs especially well around structure, current breaks, and variable inshore conditions.

At the heart of every SWYM is a patent-pending connection system developed by JYG PRO FISHING.
It allows the soft body to attach or detach from the jig head in seconds—no tearing, glue, or tools needed.
The design keeps the body and head perfectly aligned, preserving balance and action even after repeated use.
For anglers, it means less rigging time, more versatility, and longer lure life—a cleaner, more efficient setup built to perform in both inshore and offshore conditions
